About the courses

Both courses take place over three weekends (six training days). The Emerging Course is designed for those who already have some experience in singing and/or conducting and will develop existing skills, enabling you to prepare your choir with greater confidence. The Progressive Course (previously known as Intermediate)is designed for those who work with a choir on a regular basis and wish to develop the technique they already have. There is also the option to take the DipABRSM exam at the end of the course for an additional cost, which can be discussed with tutors during the course.

Prices

Emerging Course - £590 non- members, £560 abcd members

Progressive Course - £650 non-members, £620 abcd members

The deposit for both courses is £200, which can be paid online below. If you choose to pay for either course in full online, please note that your place is subject to the application process below.

Observer fee per day - £45 non-members, £35 abcd members

How to Apply

Conductors are asked to submit an application form and a short video of them working with their choir. Please click here to read the application video requirements. Do watch our example application videos for both Emerging and Progressive courses.

Please pay the course deposit below to secure a place, complete the booking form here, and submit your video via the form. Our Training Manager will be in touch with you shortly once your application has been reviewed by the course tutors.

Leading Singing in Secondary Schools: Get them singing, keep them singing
Twilight training sessions online for anyone working with singers of secondary school age Each session includes 60 minutes of training plus 15 minutes for discussion. Session are held on Zoom, from 5 to 6.15pm, with a link sent out to participants the day before. All sessions are recorded, so you can attend the session live or catch
