For readers

abcd Choral Research Journal is a Green Route Open Access Journal. This means that full articles are available to abcd members only for a twelve-month embargo period. When the embargo period is ended, authors may publish their articles in a not-for-profit open-access repository or, if they have one, on their own website. From that point onwards, the article is free to read by anybody.

The version available after the twelve-month embargo period is the 'accepted manuscript'. This is the final version of the manuscript accepted by the editorial board after peer review. The formatting and type-setting may differ from the officially published version, but authors sign an agreement to the effect that the content and references must not be altered.

Authors pay no article processing charge (APC) but must be members of abcd. abcd bears the cost of peer review and production of the official published version through its membership subscriptions. Readers are encouraged to join in order to support this process, gain instant access to new articles and enjoy the other benefits of membership.
