Clacton Choral Society has been part of the Clacton community for over 100 years. Our outgoing Musical Director was with us for nine years and has seen the choir grow to approximately 80 enthusiastic members performing three well attended concerts a year. We are a friendly choir, without an audition process, with differing levels of musical ability and experience. We rehearse on Monday evenings with a regular professional accompanist. We are seeking a Musical Director for as soon as we are allowed to begin rehearsing again. The successful candidate should be an able musician and experienced conductor with a broad knowledge of the traditional choral repertoire. The person will work with the committee and show strong leadership; have excellent communication skills and a clear directing style. The appointment comes with remuneration dependent on experience and would be subject to an annual review.
